Winners of the National Social Services Professional Skills Competition to be announced at the Russian Labour Safety Week

The winners of the National Social Services Professional Skills Competition will be announced during the Russian Labour Safety Week, which will be held from 7 to 10 October in Sirius. The competition is held annually by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation among employees of social service organizations listed on the register of social service providers.

“The competition is being held for the fifteenth time in 2026. More than 3,600 entries have been submitted this year. For the first time, the categories include best practices in supporting pregnant women in difficult life circumstances, as well as best practices in introducing lean production principles in social service organizations. As is traditional, the competition is held in two stages: regional and federal. The winners in each category at the regional stage advance to the federal stage, with the winning entries in each category proceeding automatically. The organizing committee completes the federal stage by 1 September, and the results are traditionally announced during the Russian Labour Safety Week,” noted Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.

In 2026, the competition is being held across 15 categories, with 3,618 entries submitted. A total of 798 entrants reached the federal stage. Eleven constituent entities of the Russian Federation submitted entries in every category: Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories, the Republic of Udmurtia, Volgograd, Vologda, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Orenburg, Samara and Tyumen Regions, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District.

The National Social Services Professional Skills Competition has been held since 2011. Its main aim is to support enterprising specialists who introduce new approaches to the provision of social services.
